Getting Started

WHATSUP is a software application used to monitor the UNO Networks and systems. You can access WHATSUP by using a web browser and surfing to http://whatsup.unomaha.edu. Upon arriving at the WHATSUP System's webpage, you will have to log in with your UNO NetID.

System Requirements

You will need a java-capable web-browser such as Internet Explorer 4.0 and above or Netscape 4.0 and above to access WHATSUP.

Access Problems

If you can't access the WHATSUP System, call ITS Customer Service at 554-HELP (4357) and report this. They will notify the system administrator of any problems.

Navigation

Upon gaining access to the WHATSUP Web site, depending on which view you are in, you will see either a listing of the main categories monitored, or an icon-type listing of the monitored systems.

To view the various devices within, click the name of the device you wish to view.
A green device indicates all is well with that device.
A yellow device indicates that the device has lost some communication with WHATSUP and may soon be reported as being DOWN by WHATSUP.
A red device indicates that the device is completely unreachable and is considered DOWN.

When you are done viewing, merely close your Web browser to log out or disconnect from WHATSUP.
